Meet Emily Foutz – our spotlight team member of the month.
She is one of our managers at the NoDa bakery and has been with Amelie’s for over two and a half years. Before joining our team, Emily spent six years working in the food industry where she honed her customer service skills.
Emily was looking for something different from the other restaurants where she worked when she decided that she wanted to work for Amélie’s. Knowing that she wanted something new and excited made the face-paced environment at Amélie’s very appealing.
Kitchen manager at Amélie’s NoDa, Megan Johnson believes that Emily exemplifies our culture and core values in everything she does. She added:
“We selected Emily for the team member spotlight because she is the perfect example of what Amélie’s strives to achieve in customer service and employee leadership.”
Her favorite aspect of working at Amélie’s is her teammates and the teamwork, where everyone has each other backs. Not surprisingly, when asked what about her role bring her the most joy, Emily shared:
“It brings me a tremendous amount of joy if I can make everyone’s work-life easier; to always be there if they need help and make it a smooth shift for everyone.”
Favorite Menu Item:
Pure Intentions Coffee espresso because in her words ‘she is always tired’.
Outside of the bakery:
When she is away from the bakery, Emily spends some of her time giving back to the community, volunteering at Hospice. She also loves hiking, going to see live music, and going on adventures, whatever they might be!
Just as our recipes consist of a broad mixture of ingredients and flavors, our team of talented employees is a unique blend of all people. We love our fun and open environment, where we make sure our employees know they are welcome to bring their whole (or real) selves to work every day. Our values emphasize this, as well as our overwhelming passion for serving great food and beverage!
