Macaron Gâteau 101

If you are a fan of our French macarons you will equally enjoy our macaron gâteau.

After posting a photo of one of our macaron cakes, we received multiple comments and DM’s asking for more information. This made us realize that we need to do a better job of letting our customers know more about what they are, how you order them and a few tips to serving them at your home.

What is a macaron gâteau?

A gâteau is a rich cake, typically one containing layers of cream or fruit. Our macaron gâteaus consist of three layers of cookies and two layers of filling and are approximately six inches in diameter.

What flavors do they come in?

Currently, we have around 25+ varieties. Any of our year-round flavors or current seasonal flavors can be made into a macaron cake. If you are looking for a flavor that is not in the current season, the chef of the location will need to give their approval in order to ensure we have the appropriate ingredients to make the flavor requested. In most cases, we can customize the colors and filling flavors if someone is interested in a completely custom macaron gâteau. (The macaron gâteau flavor pictured is pistachio)

The extras:

A short message can be written on the cake. In addition, decorations like brownies, macarons, or chocolate-dipped strawberries can be added for an additional fee.

What is the serving size and price?

The gâteau typically serves around 8 – 10 people and they cost $18.95 per cake. As mentioned above, add-ons are extra.

Are the macaron gâteaux gluten-free?

Most of our year-round flavors are gluten-free with the exception of the salted caramel brownie macaron. Please check with the kitchen manager to determine if you are unsure about a seasonal flavor.

How do I order a macaron gâteau?

They are available at all our bakery location. Call or stop by the location that is most convenient for you. We do require at least 48 hours of advance notice.

What is the best way to serve this dessert:

Serve cold to help keep the integrity of the cake intact and cut with a serrated knife to achieve a cleaner cut.
