Meet our team member – Ben Lockard. Ben has worked for Amélie’s for almost two years at our Carmel Commons bakery. He works in front of the house assisting customers and also helps train new team members. Prior to working with Amélie’s, Ben worked at a small cafe which gave him a basis in what providing good customer service looks like.
Ben decided to work for Amélie’s because he thought it seemed like a fun and dynamic place to work. The best part of being on the Amélie’s team to Ben is helping and interacting with the patrons. When asked what he does each day in his role that brings you the most joy, Ben shared:
“Seeing my coworkers and making the costumers happy.”
A colleague and assistant general manager, Mycah Wells is impressed with Ben’s willingness to help each and every customer and coworker. She added:
“He has improved tremendously with his service skills and his product knowledge makes our newer team members stronger teammates under his helping guidance.”
His favorite item on the menu is our Strawberry Vanilla Petit Gâteau. He loves the sweetness and how the flavors all compliment each other.
Away from the bakery, Ben enjoys hanging out with his friends, painting, watching horror movies, and here’s a fun fact – his favorite color is pink.
